I am thrilled to join as one of six artists for the Your Voice 2 Residency at Artspace Portsmouth. During the two-week residency, I will work directly with young people from Motiv8. I will teach practical skills in location-based sound recording and show them how to install a professional exhibition. We will record new sounds from Old Portsmouth and combine them with oral interviews the young people created in 2021. This will produce a rich, collaborative soundscape.

We will present the final work at a pop-up exhibition on Friday 18th November 2022, from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. The exhibition will showcase the young participants’ creativity and the results of our residency. The project receives public funding from the National Lottery through Arts Council England. It supports arts engagement and helps nurture young creative talent in Portsmouth.
